Came here after breaking my ankle badly. I can't fault the emergency care or the corrective surgery that followed. But recovery was a nightmare.

No-one could give me a straight answer about when I would be discharged. Leading to highs (tomorrow) followed by lows (two days that turned into three then four).

The orthopaedic word seems understaffed. Nursing care inconsistent. Two bed rooms with doors firmly closed means that you don't see anyone for hours. Food is bearable for about two days then it's boring and unappetising. I refused it after day 11.

Maybe depression is a common symptom of those forced to spend a long period in hospital. But this is a depressing place.

Just praying now that I can get out of here.
