I only heard great words of this shelter and I found a great fit for our family we named her Arwen. We unfortunately didn't know that Arwen was severely sick when we adopted her. It only took less then 24 hours to realize something wasn't right. The day after the adoption I reached out to the shelter for help and we were informed there was no vet on sight on that Monday so we needed to find a veterinarian on our own, so we did. I sent all the paperwork to the vet that I had received from the shelter and they recommended I reach back to the shelter due to we having 2 weeks for help with our adoption. When I pleaded for help to the shelter because our Arwen was not eating and very lethargic. Their response was they do not offer veterinarian help after adoption so go back to the vet that you have seen, sounds like she needs help immediately. Left us with no choice. Almost $1000 later Arwen is still apart of of family thanks to our veterinarian. No thanks to Rocky Mountain Feline rescue. I do believe that this shelter has great qualities, but in the event that you do rescue a beautiful kitten from this establishment just be aware, if you do adopt a sick kitten you will be responsible for all cost. No help will be given.
