I have had two experiences with O'Brien. They replaced a windshield wiper motor. They put the wiper arms on the wrong side. I had to take the car back to fix it. I had to take the Subaru in for an airbag replacement/recall. During this transaction O'Brien gave me a loaner car for the day. I dropped the loaner car off the same day I got it. When I got in my car after repairs were completed, the passenger seat was covered with grease as was the door panel and floor. When I went back they took the car for a minute, wiped of what they could and told me that was the best they could do.

Then a week later there was a charge of $120 on my credit card for four days auto rental from Enterprise. Apparently they failed to return the key to Enterprise for four days which resulted in Enterprise charging me. I called Robinson, a service department supervisor. He assured me the charge from Enterprise would be taken care of. Three days later, nothing had happened so I talked to the Service Manager, Pete. He assured me he would personally take care of getting the $120 refunded to my credit card. He also said he was sorry about the grease on the car, but if I would come back for service in the future he would lay out the red carpet. No offer or attempt to clean the car.

Now, her it is a month later and they still have not corrected the $120 charge to Enterprise. I called again today and am awaiting a call back from Pete. As a word of advice, don't get too hung up on their 4 star rating. They leave just enough low ratings on their website to keep it at 4. They delete reviews that are bad. My original review which I gave 1 star on the first of September has been deleted! My advice is to shop around to other dealers. I have no experience in purchasing from O'Brien and will not. I can assure you that the service department experience will turn you away!
