I moved from the USA to Toronto and went through MANY hurdles trying to find a place downtown. For those unfamiliar with the Toronto market, it works very similar to NYC. You go through rental agencies who represent you as a tenant; their job is to work with the landlords in order to fill vacancies. You do NOT have to pay the rental groups as they are funded by the landlords.

Core Assets, specifically Gavin Fong (my rental agent) was a tremendous help and worked into the late hours up until the final moments of getting my apartment. I would not be in Canada without him or Core Assets. I highly recommend using him!
