My wife and I visited the wellness centre at this ...

My wife and I visited the wellness centre at this hotel and ordered a massage. Firstly about the massage. My wife had a thai hot stone massage, which was conducted very unprofessionally. Firstly, a large chunk of time during the massage was spent on a facial treatment which we did not order. When she said to the masseuse that she did not want the facial treatment but only the massage, the masseuse simply informed her that this is standard procedure and continued with the treatment as before. The masseuse also appeared to be inexperienced in giving a hot stone massage, as she hardly ever used the stones and instead simply placed them on her skin while using her hands, and also rubbed them against her ribs - a rather painful experience. To top it off, the masseuse left the room for over ten minutes (with the clock running) and with a wet towel on my wife's face! Horrible. We both felt that the masseuses at the hotel were not well trained. If you are looking to get a relaxing massage for yourself or your wife at this hotel, I recommend to look elsewhere.

We also visited the sauna and the pool areas. At the time of our visit during the winter the pool areas were rather crowded and the pool areas are quite small. However, this may be different during the summer when the bigger pools outside may be opened. The saunas are great, with a large variety of facilities, including salt and mud saunas. If you are at the hotel, the saunas are well worth the visit.

We rated the hotel based on our experience in both the massage and the sauna areas. Without the visit to the massage we would have rated it more highly, but as it is we feel the ratings reflect the whole of our experience there.
