A very worthwhile experience ! If like me you come from a rather sheltered background, going to a big city (well, not really in the case of Lisbon) is a very gratifying experience. This place proves my point right down to a "t" - imagine a warehouse size market with a seemingly infinite number of food stores. Almost something for everyone. I say almost because as a vegan I was struggling to find something eatable... There are no dedicated places, so you have to make do with the usual stuff - apart from a vegan burger which I didn't get to try because the queues are almost endless. That is the one thing in Lisbon - standing in line seems to be a past-time for tourists..you want to visit a famous monument ? stand in line. You want to eat vegan food ? stand in line. You want to go onto the E 28 tram ? stand in line . etc. - Look for my other review of a very DECENT vegan restaurant..as long as you reserve , no standing in line whatsoever ;-)
