My husband and I went to the Humane Society in the Fox Valley, to help a pet find a home. We were allowed to view the animals and allowed to visit with them, then filled out a adoption form. We were told that we would need to wait until Monday to pick up the animal. Then, found out that they did not call both of the vets we had listed on the adoption form. We called back several times to figure out their progress in the adoption, only to call a week later and they still had not called both of the veterinary clinics listed. Finally, we called to see what was going on and were finally informed that we would not be allowed to adopt the pet because our 10 year old dog was not fixed. The dog is too old to have puppies, and we were adopting a cat that had already been fixed. Basically, this is information they could've shared with us the first day we were there, but decided to string us along for an entire week. Rude, discourteous, and extremely sad for the pets that are there.
