Let me preface, I do not ever write reviews. However, as a paralegal and advocacy worker, I have no choice but to share my story regarding this awful establishment.
I was offended and quite disturbed last night, and how I was treated by the staff. After weeks of being intermittently bed ridden due to a horrible Lyme diagnosis, I was out to celebrate a friend s birthday last night.
Alternating my drinks (two beers- two vodka sodas) with water, and plenty of
Food, I proceeded to go up and order another drink. Just to be told by the bartender (male, pretentious hipster looking guy with glasses) whom stated, we can t serve you anymore no explanation, other than you ve been drinking awhile (no more than anyone else in the rest of my party) To add salt to the wound, I overheard him and the female bartender (short blonde hair) laughing at how my face looked and shoving a water towards me as they proceeded to serve everyone around me and ignore my attempts to speak.
I was absolutely horrified. I will be speaking at many Lyme conventions in the near future around connecticut and will make sure to mention this story, and bring light to this establishment. Discrimination is never okay.
