This is the hotel that made Embassy Suites my favo...

This is the hotel that made Embassy Suites my favorite, and I am sad to have to knock it down a star. Let me begin with what I like about any Embassy Suite hotel: They have an amazing free breakfast, with made to order eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, donuts, waffles, and other things; they have a manager reception where they serve free bottom-shelf well drinks and provide snacks, and each room is a 2-room suite.

Every Embassy Suite hotel that I have stayed in so far has an atrium that is as tall as the hotel, with a majority of the rooms opening onto this. This is where I am dropping a star. All of the atrium's have had a water feature and trees growing in them, making it a very relaxing place to sit and read or eat your meal. This one has removed the river, fish and plants and replaced it with a big open area. It has gone from having a magical tropical feel to feeling like a conference hotel--not the place I want to go to to get away from work.

I will still stay at Embassy Suites in general, but I no longer have a reason to come back to this one for a vacation; only if I have a specific reason to be in Beaverton overnight.
