Very frustrating experience. Communication was terrible. I live out of state, but I found a used car here that I was interested in. Had a brother in Houston go look at it and decided to buy it based on his impressions. First shock was the ridiculous fees they wanted to charge. Car advertised at $12,500 but after fees they wanted closer to $16,000. We agreed on a price. To hold the car, I gave my salesman a credit card. He never charged it and they continued to advertise the car for sale. He called me a few days later with a horrible financing offer (8.9%) for 5 years. I said let's see if 4 years and a larger down payment gets a lower rate. No one ever called back. I called the finance department and spoke to someone who said they'd see who was working on it and call back. No one ever called. I called again and left a voice mail. No one called. It took another day to get someone on the phone in finance to tell me that the offer was still 8.9%. I went to lending tree and had a loan at 3% in about 40 minutes. After the papers were sent to me, signed, and returned, I contacted my salesman to be sure everything was complete.i didn't want to fly in to get the car and find that there was missing information. He said he would check and call me back. He didn't. 2 days later, I called the finance department and couldn't get anyone on the phone so I left a voicemail. No one called back. The next day I contacted my salesman again and finally he confirms that the car is ready. This failure to return messages was the norm. We almost backed out of the deal a few times in frustration. I'm very happy with the car but I wouldn't do business with Sterling McCall again
