Three years ago a legal expenses insurance with Lancyr. After a waiting period of 2 years for the module work and income effectively covered for 1 year. Last month, a premium increase of no less than 58% was suddenly announced. The reason was that the collective discount from Lancyr at the underlying insurer (Nationale Nederlanden) has not been extended and these costs must be passed on. Lancyr is therefore an extra layer above the insurers and therefore provides little added value. In fact; with Lancyr you run a high risk of a sharp rise in costs after taking out insurance.
