From out of town, came for Mass. When I walked in, had no idea it was a Catholic Church were it not for the sign outside. All visible symbols of grace you'd normally see at a Catholic Church were missing. No Crucifix reminding us of the Lord's Sacrifice, nor the Stations of the Cross. I come to Mass to pray in solitude, reflect on His Mercy and sacrifice. But there were no kneelers! Jesus was not the center of the Church either; the tabernacle is hidden away! No Holy water to make the sign of the Cross with, which reminds us we belong to Him and are in His presence. Also, the band was the focal point of the Mass, not Jesus. With loud guitars and drums, overly long choir. At the closing procession, there was clapping along with the song and cheering at the end. Which is fine for a Protestant worship service... however, this is the holy sacrfice of the Mass, in rememberence of Jesus dying on the Cross for our sins. The disciples were not cheering and hollering at Calvary!
