I had the pleasure on visiting the National Zoo and Aquarium on Monday with my grand daughter..

I have not been to the Zoo for over 5 years. Since then the transformation has been enormous. It was at times like being in a rain forest. All the enclosures were large and well maintained and you could tell that the staff really enjoy their jobs. I loved the open walk through area and the birds walking around.

I have been to many Zoos and I put this one up with the best.

My only disappointment is that I did not stay longer due to time restraints and that next time I will take advantage of the barbeque facilities.

Well done - I believe that this is a tourist attraction for Canberra
