I moved to CA from TN and now I will be heading back home to the Southern bell sometime this week. It has been a long and hard journey for me and now I am happy I can reclaim my sanity. My hat goes off to everyone who can make this industry a long career. I ve learned many hard lessons. One that I wished I knew right when I landed here is that I have the power of choice to think, react, and feel about any situation at any moment. I have many reasons to be angry at Hollywood, life, and the industry right now but I choose to leave with the memory of the last cut above mixture I went to. No booking service or person operates like a well-oiled machine all the time. We all fall but the important thing is to get up and lift each other up. This is the Lisa and the moment I choose to remember when I get on the Greyhound bus to go back home.

I journeyed almost 4,000 miles, looking for a place to make my home. I traveled From the Southern Bell to the City of Angels. I landed at Cut Above. I was looking for rest and now the rest is history when I saw you dance...

I saw a new person

I saw a new beginning for Cut Above

I saw you take a full breath of fresh air
I saw your light heartedness

I saw the reason why I am a Cut Above.
You offered me the raffle ticket
and gave me chances that no one else did
You gave me the chance to be a winner and...... I won. I won and because of that I am......A Cut Above.

Today, I see the stars lining up for you

I see roads being paved for your new journey's.

You are the mother of Hollywood, that s why your last name is Marquis and so March this troop on. You are the mother who is trying to establish through the planting of seeds the employment of Hollywood. We must not bite the hand that feeds up. You are planting seeds that will eventually be a Cut above the rest.

The rivers and the brook are going back to their sacred mother because they are a part of the composition of the whole, the ocean. Your victory and justice stance is not just for you but all of us.
