First, I tried to schedule a simple oil and filter change through the online schedule service. No one called or emailed per the instructions on the website. Had to call to schedule. The rep I spoke with was accommodating and friendly. She gets my only star!
Got to my appointment at scheduled time. Everything was fine until after the inspection. Service rep came in to tell me that even though the fluid levels were not low, I might need a water pump (because it could go out at anytime) and they had time to do it right then to the tune of over $700. Uhhh, no! Then said I needed new windshield wipers (which I had just replaced a month earlier). When I checked, the drivers side wiper was not fully engaged making it not hit the window evenly. Service rep tried to get me for another $50 for the wiper blades I didn't need. One week after having this service which included tire rotation, I got a warning light telling me I had a low tire. No holes, no leaks. Hmmmmm. Lastly, when done, I presented a coupon for $10. Obviously that didn't sit well with the rep as he grabbed his staple puller, ripped the staples out of the paperwork he had printed, threw the staple puller, trashed the papers, printed new ones and sent me on my way. I purchased my 1999 Solara brand new from this dealership and only had it serviced here once. Used Genesis, reliably, for the next 18 years. Guess I will take the Highlander back to Genesis in the future. No hassle, no games, just honest, reliable service. Can't say the same for this dealership. Obviously, someone thought I must be a dumb broad. Don't assume all women are stupid and vulnerable when it comes to vehicles. If this is how you train your employees on customer service, you need to change your policies. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
