I was very excited to try the Syrup Trap. I love waffles!
The atmosphere was sort of cafeteria-like, but very clean!

Prices were a bit high, but I was expecting a really high-quality waffle.
And that's where this jumped the shark.

The waffle, while really nice looking, was really dry. I think it was aiming for an artisanal feel, but it missed the mark. It needed to be drowned in that shot glass of syrup in order to be palatable.

Sorry, Syrup Trap, there's a LOT of places around town right now with very high-quality breakfast food. I think you're going to need to bump up your game here.
