Review part 2 of 2 - continued from my earlier post:
Next up, parts and service. As I said earlier, I ordered extras with this purchase. Not only were the extras not ordered until a week AFTER the purchase date (due to someone "upstairs" being on vacation and NO ONE backfilled her job duties while she was gone), the order was wrong...AGAIN. When the parts finally came in 2-3 weeks later, I had arranged with 2 members of the parts department, a scheduler, and a service tech to have everything installed on the same day. I was told on two separate occasions that it was NO PROBLEM and it would be done. Before the time came to install the parts, I am driving along and notice that the vehicle I JUST PURCHASED is pulling to one side and that the speedometer is reading the wrong speed. Turns out, the alignment was WAY OFF and the speedometer was wrong due to having the wrong size tires on it when they sold it to me (per manufacturer specs)! So, when the day comes to install the parts, I ask them to fix the alignment and see what s up with the speedometer. NO PROBLEM, they say yet again. I dropped off the vehicle 35 minutes before they officially opened and I was the first vehicle in line. I told them to keep the vehicle all day just to make sure it all gets done. Techs leave at 3pm. I get a phone call from a service adviser at 2:53pm telling me that my vehicle is ready to be picked up. I get to the dealer at 3:02pm, as I was not far away. Turns out that not all of the parts were installed, there is NO ONE around to ask questions to about the alignment and speedometer and no supervisors were anywhere to be found.
Folks, this has been a long review and I m not even covering two or three more handfuls of things that have gone wrong here, especially the lack of communication by the managers of this dealership (which was HORRID). In short, two individuals are doing their job and take their jobs seriously (the finance guy we dealt with and the owner of the dealership). The owner, God love him, did his best to make our experience a positive one, for which we are very, very grateful!! Unfortunately, the rest of the people there obviously do not share his values or work-ethic, are horrendous to deal with, need to be fired (because re-training them is not going to work, obviously) and I suggest you find ANY other dealership to work with as long as you want the hair on the head to not be pulled out by you.
