One of the few, if not the only, good restaurant in the I-40/Strawberry Plains area. This was the original location & now there are 4(? I think) more. Famous for their crispy, fried green tomatoes, they never fail to please (photo). On this visit, I decided to try their fish tacos (photo). I'd never ordered these before because Puleo's is known for "Italian food w/ a Southern flair." Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! These were the best fish tacos that I had ever had, & I have had more than my share of fish tacos. Ample, moist fish; tasty, tart sauce; just the right amount of slaw & tomatoes; all inside a nice flour tortilla. Inexplicably, I decided to have grits casserole as my side, and it was also delicious! 6/26/17
