The best thing to ever happen to me was to be terminated from this job lol. I don't understand how in one year I can make it as a human resource manager elsewhere, but was kept as a security guard for so long. One thing this company is very bad at is talent evaluation. I have seen many people leave this company who happen to be flourishing and flying high with other companies. The problem is widespread. I often times worked for Directors who I rarely saw. Every site without a director suffers from having supervisors who can not reprimand employees due to the union labor laws. An employee on hourly salary and also in the union cannot discipline another hourly union worker. When you have employees who do not fear repercussions from an assistant manager and manager, than the entire integrity of a company is threatened as well as its reputation. If you are a potential client, please do your due diligence in scrutinizing who they hire to work your site. These will be the face of your organization and hold these directors accountable for their lack of attention once a contract is obtained. A company should not be satisfied with merely obtaining a client, but do their part in retaining one by hiring only the best people while retaining and rewarding good employees. Don't consider someone qualified simply for having a perc card.
