BUYERS BEWARE of DeMontrond Volkswagen. They are not honest and have unethical business practices. On 2/8/2017 I went in to look at a used 2007 GTI. The car was for sell and not spoken for. I liked the car and was going to purchase but the car was in the service department getting new tires installed. So I allowed my sales rep Adam Pursel to do a full credit check and then paid a $500 deposit on the GTI. I was told he would call me when the car was ready and then I would come by and finalize the purchase.
Needless to say after several hours I received no phone call. So to avoid traffic and decided to pick up my friend and head up there from Katy to avoid being stuck in traffic. I called and left Adam a voice mail advising him I was on the way. Within 15mins Adam calls back to state that someone came by and offered more money for the car and that management decided to go that route. Despite my $500 deposit and the full credit check.
This is just bad business. I have 30 days to finance a car or the credit check they performed would cost me on my credit score and affect my ability in the future for purch
