Wasted two hours of my life!!

Wasted two hours of my life!!
I took the wife's van in for a recall that she set up an appointment for at 10:30. The service writer took the keys and put it in the system. I had my 3yr old daughter with me and we were on foot so I asked for an approximate time to see if I needed a ride or just walk close by and find entertainment for my daughter. He stated it would be about an hour, so we walked to a restaurant close by. After almost two hours and no update I texted for a status. He replied they just got it in and they don't have the part! I spoke with the manager and he said there was several different styles of this part and they can't tell which one until they look at it. This is hard to believe since a VIN number should give them the info they need. They stated the part would have to come from LA and would be in the next day, we will see .
