I am so disappointed in the way Wanguard handled our lease renewal during the pandemic. We expressed to our leasing office that we were unsure of our income and they continued to increase our rent with the same deal they gave all other residents before COVID. After filing for unemployment, we still were pressured into resigning our lease two months before our first lease expired. We barely heard from the leasing office regarding measures they were taking to help prevent the spread of the disease in our building. They never discussed reimbursement of accommodation fees that are factored into our rent even though we are unable to use these accommodations at this time.
After discussing with many other Milwaukee residents, I was surprised to hear that Wanguard is alone in treating their residents this way. Made me even more upset!
