I took my 2014 Corvette to the Chevrolet dealership to have the air dam in the lower front replaced ( a simple job just bolting on a few bolts) and an oil change. When I arrived to pick it up, I looked at the bottom of the front quarter panel to see the fiberglass was busted and white powder flaking off. When someone who I assumed was the service manager was summoned, he just said 'Fix it and get him something to drive'. (He never introduced himself or spoke to me.) The only person involved who seemed to care was the porter who drove the car back and forth - never so much as a word from the manager or even a 'Sorry' from management. They kept the car to repair, ( I think it was about a $1,000 repair job but that ticket was kept from me also) and I was told they did not have any cars for me to use for that long. I picked it up the next week repaired. This was my 5th Corvette over 30 years and I was hoping to keep this one undamaged. ( I originally tried to order it from this dealership where I live, but they were exactly $10,000 more than the dealership I ordered it from.) While I was sick that they damaged it, I know things happen, and I would have accepted it if they had an honest and customer-friendly attitude.(The cover-up is usually worse than the crime.) If I had not seen it, I would have driven away with no way to prove to them that they damaged my car, since they did not self-report anything. Luckily I discovered it before they passed it off to me without saying a word. I have now given this place several chances for my business, and I will take all further work to the GMC dealer across the highway, where they provide great personal service for my wife's Cadillac.
