I lease a home in the Avalon subdivision in Wylie, Texas. Principal Management is the hired management company. First of all, it would be nice if the manager assigned to our subdivision even did her job and did regular inspections. Instead, she hides behind the receptionist and her voicemail. Even sending pictures of HOA violations doesn't get her to take any action. She tries in earnest, I believe, to write a sensible letter, but fails miserably. To think that the HOA is charged a fee for each and every piece of correspondence generated by this inept individual is outright highway robbery. In addition to that, the only thing worse than Principal is the HOA board, all a bunch of minimally-educated retired people who flex their muscles in favor of their favorites, while unfairly discriminating against others. The president needs to go ASAP, as his superficial concern for aesthetic beauty in the neighborhood falters significantly, as driving by his house means seeing wolmanized wood swings he assembled showcased in his front yard with tacky plastic FOR SALE signs affixed to them. I'm sure that is something the bylaws really advocate. People need to band together and file class action against this highly inept and discriminatory business. Despite its perception that its agents can hide from accountability, I can promise there would be a favorable outcome in the jurisdiction of a judge. Let's face it, the concept of a HOA is a pretty useless waste of time. It's all based on subjectivity and discretion, not hard and fast bylaws and rules. Has anyone taken a look at the Better Business Bureau site to see that Associa has hundreds of complaints in the last three years? I'd certainly be ashamed to be associated with any dealings with such an under-handed organization.

ATTENTION HOAs: DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY -- BAD, BAD NEWS!!!!!
