UPDATE: So, it's been less than two weeks since my original review, which I'm leaving below, and unfortunately I have nothing nice to say about Baxter. They called me in and said that I just had to stop by to quickly sign something and then I could leave. When I got there they told me that I wasn't approved for a loan for a used car without a co-signer, but they could get me a new Ford Focus without a co-signer. I wasn't able to have a co-signer and the payments on the Focus were way out of my price range. We asked them how I could be approved for a new car that I definitely would not be able to afford, but the much cheaper used car wasn't available. What we assumed was that the bank wouldn't give out a loan on the car because they didn't think it was worth what the loan was. We asked the used car manager this and he danced around the question. But this is the only reason I can think of that this would happen. And after I purchased the car I did notice it had some issues. I knew I was buying the car as-is, but I felt super rushed in the buying process, especially since it was my first car and I needed transportation.
I later found out that the transmission and air conditioner were bad. Aside from all this, every employee we came in contact with the second time in was super rude and most were unprofessional. Matt, the used-car manager, came in and told us we had to decide what to do, but he didn't explain what was really going on. And every time we asked him a question, he said it was a finance question that he wasn't sure how to answer. I ended up deciding to give the car back. When I asked about my down payment he said they would pay me back, but he had no record of it ??? I showed him what was taken out from the bank app on my phone and he did pay me back, but he was kind of rude with the way he said it.
Ultimately, I know that I probably should of done more research and looked at the car more before signing anything, but that doesn't excuse the bad behavior. When we left he gave me my card back and just told me to leave the key in the ignition. No apology for wasting my time or for the inconvenience. I would strongly recommend staying away from this place. They will be nice to you when they want your money and take advantage any way they can, but when you start to ask questions or get upset they get rude and defensive. Horrible customer service and little ethics.

I just bought a Ford Escape here a few days ago and was extremely happy with their service. Jake Schwarck was my sales consultant and did a really good job of helping me get a good deal and finding the right car for me. This was my first time buying a car and everyone at Baxter helped me without making me feel stupid or taken advantage of. Every person who helped me, whether it was sales, finance, or servicing was professional and sincerely nice.
