I had the displeasure of meeting Barbara Jean (BJ Prop) in 2000. The townhome I had been renting in Los Al for 5 years was sold. The new owners made the mistake of hiring her as their property manager. My first experience was a rental increase of $150.00 per month. I'm a responsible pet owner and at the time had a dog and a cat. She made the remark to me upon our first face to face meeting that "the only good cat is a dead cat". I couldn't believe her gall. Then after raising my rent, she asked if there was anything that needed to be done to my place. I told her I'd been living here for 5 years and the carpeting was separated at the seams by a couple of inches. It was carpeting from the late 70's the high-low two-tone stuff. She told me she would see what she could do for me. One week later I got a 60 day notice to move. I had never been late on my rent, no complaints from my neighbors and no problems with the former landlord.

This property management company is poisoned by the owner and I would never under any circumstances, rent from BJ Properties again. I would rather stay at a Motel 6. If I could I would rate it a minus 5.
