It might have "hot dogs" in the name, but when I go here it's usually because I'm looking forward to their Italian beef sandwich. Italian beef with hot peppers, french fries (with a unique, yet yummy flavor), and a strawberry shake...or a strawberry shortcake.... that is my idea when I visit Portillo's. My daughter loves their mac and cheese (although I don't think it's officially on the menu); they provide their macaroni pasta and a side dish of the creamy cheese sauce, and it mixes together for a unique kid's mac and cheese that puts a smile on her face every time. The drive thru staff are always outside waiting to take your order no matter what the weather does, and they always have a friendly and enthusiastic attitude. Between the great service and the great food, there's no question why they are usually very busy!
