Genz Ryan Experience

Genz Ryan Experience
Our kitchen faucet started leaking on Monday evening. We contacted GR and they indicated they will fit us in the next day, with 20-30 minute notice. We have a service plan so the visit was going to be $49 for coming to inspect problem.

The next day (Tuesday) the technician contacted me, and was very accommodating to make the visit when I can be home. Here is where things started going south. I pointed out that from our observation the issue was a cracked hose under the sink (part of the faucet assembly). The technician agreed after inspecting faucet. I was presented with two options: 1. Purchase new faucet $1,200 or 2. replace one hose for $385. The faucet is a year old, purchased from and installed by GR. They didn t have the part in stock, so it had to be ordered. The tech went out of his way to ensure the part was delivered the next day (waived shipping charges).

When I asked the tech if they stand behind their product (Delta), he indicated that they do. Why do I have to pay $385 if that is true? The tech was adamant that this was the cost of providing good service.

The tech came back the next day (Wednesday) as promised, and installed the part in 30 minutes. Overall I wouldn t consider this a good experience.... especially considering I payed for a service plan. I had to leave work, or work from Home two days, and the experience was $385. The technician was good, but the GR service plan and products leave much to be desired.
