Rockford was a great place for us! My child was six year old and had what one could only call a psychotic break at her school. We called the facility on our way there. Our intake happened immediately and the social worker we were given answers all of our questions thoroughly and gave my daughter the respect she deserved while she was processing the tough time she was having. My daughter ended up being there for a little over a month. The psychiatrist on staff gave us his cell phone number and I felt completely comfortable calling or texting with questions about my child, her therapy, or mediation changes. I appreciated the daily communication log with the nurses and social worker. I felt everyone was working to helping my child understand her mental state and tried to explain what was happening in her body even though she is too young to truly understand nor make appropriate choices for herself. Mental illness is a life long disease but I feel after our experience with the Rockford Center we are on the right track to helping our child. Rockford got my child stable and our family on the right track to help her long term. We are forever grateful For them
