The hotel itself is a cool, historic building with a lot of character. It is located near the riverwalk and convenient to restaurants. The on-site bar/restaurant are good and not too overpriced. That's where the good stops.
It's dirty. From the time you walk in the door, baseboards, walls, everything - dirty. When we got to the room, it had been prepared, but there were dirty cups, cup rings on the tables and some type of a fluid stain on the chaise.
It's located in an area where homeless people congregate (the park across the street), so it's uncomfortable walking near the hotel after dark.
The parking is among the most expensive of any hotel I've been to ($45 a night), so if you plan to have car, keep that in mind.
It wasn't the worst hotel experience I've had, but I wouldn't come back.
