I received a settlement letter in the mail regarding a 2013 Equinox I currently own that has oil consumption issues. I have had two blown engines because of this issue. Chevy acknowledges the issue with my equinox, but because my SUV is now over 120,000, I need special consideration to have my car fixed. I provided past receipts showing this was an issue spanning years, including when my car was under the mileage limits. A woman named Gloria who works for GM told me they would not help cover costs for repair based on the decisions of this dealership. IF YOU ADMIT THE ISSUE WITH THE SUV, YOU SHOULD TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR FIXING THE ISSUE, REGARDLESS OF THE MILEAGE. This SUV has been an issue from the start. You shouldn t have to keep a bottle of oil in your trunk to top off after every drive. I have paid over $2000 in repairs on this SUV in the past 2 years, and they won t even consider helping me because the repairs weren t done at their dealership. This came straight out of Gloria s mouth regarding the situation. Gross!!
