I don't review much, but I feel compelled to do so...

I don't review much, but I feel compelled to do so after my experience with Cat and Cow, and in particular Dr. Joe Barrett. We took our 8 year old bullmastiff Kodi in for a cough. Since it presented as Kennel Cough, Dr. Joe treated her cough, with antibiotics and a sinus cocktail shot, and she got better, but not for long. Over the past 2 weeks Kodi declined severely. She lost all stability and couldn't even recognize us. We took her back to Dr. Joe yesterday morning and he jumped straight on it. Unfortunately when he did xrays and sonograms, he broke the news that her chest was riddled with cancer. She had cancer from her chest all the way to her brain, and was in excruciating pain. She hadn't been able to get up on her own for 2 days, hadnt ate in 4, and had lost 12lbs in 2 weeks. He reassured me that anything I could do would only cause her to suffer since her cancer was so advanced. With grave despair, my fiance and I made the painful decision to put her to sleep. I was all to pieces, but Dr. Joe was a rock of support. After it was done I felt pain that I had never experienced. My heart was demolished. I turned to Dr. Joe and asked if I could give him a hug and he quickly responded, "Yeah man". Without hesitation he embraced me with all his might. It was something I needed after putting my sweet sweet girl to sleep. I'm a big dude, and Dr. Joe just held me like I was a small child, while I sobbed like a baby. It meant so much for a vet to show that level of compassion. Dr. Joe is hands down the most grounded, caring vet I've ever dealt with, and for that I'm beyond grateful. I can say I love this place, and the folks that work there, and will only go to Dr. Joe from here on out. If you're reading this Doc Joe, thanks brother
