Be careful when/if you call, dont trust what they say on the phone. Make sure you double check whatever you're asking about. My first time calling i tried asking when to apply for part-time courses( I called in February asking about registration times for September classes). The lady told me they only open part-time courses 1-2 weeks before the start date of the class. Thanks to that when i tried applying all classes were full and i had to miss my first semester. Secondly I had to call again because I wanted to switch my registration from one class to a different one (before classes had started and solemnly just to change professors). I called in the morning and the lady I talked to was pissed off already, when I couldnt figure out what to do steps-wise for this process. She got frustrated and didnt know what to tell me and hung up mid convo. Lol so I just waited an hour and called back to get someone else to talk to. Anyways there were a few other very unhelpful events that happened when i called bcit but minor.
Some of the teachers are great, a few dont really have any idea what theyre doing (One example is I had a teacher who was ia writer her whole life but teaching our Essentials of Marketing class). Even had one teacher who had stolen all her power point, info, lectures, etc. from a different teacher so that was awkward because I attended his class also.
If you want to save money go here, but do your own research on the classes/teachers and be extremely careful with the phone receptionists because theyre not always the best at being helpful or giving u correct info. I recommend going on rate your prof cause a lot of students (me included) end up with unqualified teachers but i found using the rate my prof site that was helpful.
