Convincing a philanthropist to shy away from his promised $300 for each of the 250 homeless individuals while gaining $90k in funding instead is a bloody joke. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. It is a a prejudice to generalize the entire homeless population as drug addicts. You may have fooled a Chinese tycoon, but you can't fool me. NYC Rescue Mission capitalized on these 250 individuals to generate $90k for their own agenda. Let's do the math, if Chen Guanbiao did give $300 to 250 people, he would be paying $75,000. $15,000 less than the rescue fund of $90k. However...NYC Rescue Mission also needs to pay for employee salaries and other utility expenses. $15k is definitely not enough to cover that, which means Chen's $90k isn't going to benefit the homeless that much at all. However, I do applaud NYCRM on their amazing persuasion to convince a millionaire to entrust his money to them instead of the homeless. And that is why that one star is there. Those of you who continue to work for Mr. Mayes after this incident, or believe in the generalization of homeless people as drug addicts should be ashamed of yourself. Shame on you!
