We stayed for Valentine s day, also celebrating our Anniversary with the romance package. The room was nice, but Valentine s dinner was horrible.

We payed $247 for what was advertised to us as a 4 course meal, which we reserved over the phone. Horrible service, horrible ambiance. We passed by the bar, which had nice table cloths and good ambiance, only to enter the Valentine restaurant, which looked like a cafeteria. There was no drink menu except for four choices of wine and when we selected a wine the waiter said let me see if we have that . We ordered a gin and soda and received a ginger ale, even after the waiter came back and asked cola or club soda? . My water was not refilled until we flagged down the waiter halfway through the meal. Our plates and empty glasses were not cleared. The entree was good (except for my husbands lobster, which was just shell), but the seafood buffet was a pile of shrimp next to a plate of salmon and a pile of salami (I m pretty sure on the phone there was mention of seafood salad and scallops). The salad was another station, with either a tiny plate of mixed greens, or small slab of romaine sitting next to croutons. The Valentine desert was an assortment of mini cupcakes and cheesy decorated sugar cookies, with an underwhelming crepe station. We left feeling disappointed and cheated out of what we thought was going to be a nice meal and getaway.

The other part of the romance package was s mores, but it was 28 degrees outside and windy with no contingency plan for weather.
