Review of Optimum RV

After web shopping for nearly three years, we look...

After web shopping for nearly three years, we looked at Optimum RV for the purchase of our RV.
Gabe was our salesperson, and he listened to what we wanted in an RV and showed us a selection of RVs that met our criteria. He walked with us through each step of the process and we are exceedingly happy with his service.
Finance personnel (Jim R.) answered our questions and offered a wide variety of warranty add-ons for our RV. He proved helpful and willing to make adjustments as we proceeded through the purchase process.
Eric, the RV technician, gave us a complete walk through of our RV and demonstrated key systems throughout the RV. He provided outstanding support for the walk-through and answered all of our questions.
The parts department had the extra items we needed to purchase and were helpful in securing the slide cover we wanted installed before we took possession of the RV.
Ms. Anna, who handles the title work for the dealership, provided superior support for expedient processing of our title and plates. She is a credit to the dealership.
There were a few minor issues to resolve. One of the decorative decals came loose while sitting on the lot. We requested it to be replaced and the service department opened a work order to have the decal replaced. Unfortunately, the decal did not arrive in time to take delivery, but was promised that a mobile tech would make the repair as soon as the decal arrived. The service department received the decal and called me to schedule an appointment to bring our RV back to Optimum. When we explained that we were told that a technician would come to our location to install they decal, the service person asked who told us that a technician would come to our location. We explained who told us the information. The individual said that they would call us back. Five minutes later that person did call back, but then explained that they did not send out techs to do that kind of work. Further, the individual said that we could either bring the RV to them or have the decal mailed to us so we could install the decal. We elected to have the decal mailed to us. Eight days, the decal is still not here.

So why the two stars? Our sales rep, financial rep, technician, parts rep, and title rep all are first class individuals during this transaction. The service department is not in the same league as the rest of the team. When the service department catches up, OptimumRV will be a five-star dealership.

UPDATE: Since Optimum ensured that their business with us was completed in full (and as they promised), we wanted to update our rating from two stars to four stars. A big 'thank you' to Denver who ensured that we received the promised decal before we left Florida. It literally arrived at our door a few short hours before our departure deadline. Perhaps in future dealings with OptimumRV we will be able to give them a solid five-star rating as they improve their service department.
