Katie Carpenter Review of Sheraton Raleigh Hotel

$200 a night for a tiny room and no fridge. You re greeted in the lobby with dated 90 s decor and some off-brand Axe cologne that stays in your nose for much too long. The rooms are TINY- we were constantly bumping into each other and we live in a 1200 sq foot house. Ours had a lovely mint wrapper on the windowsill which means it wasn t cleaned properly. We had some leftovers and looked for a fridge- it was nowhere to be found. I ve stayed in motels with bigger rooms and even they had a mini-fridge, it s mind boggling they don t. There also wasn t an ice machine on our floor. And- you have to pay for parking, even though the hotel most likely owns the deck. I ve paid $230 a night for a spacious oceanfront view in a resort with a mini-fridge, parking, and a balcony, so I really don t see the value this place has to offer. Also, late check out was a hassle at the front desk. The only thing this hotel has going for it is a decent location. This is one of my first experiences with Sheraton and I plan to consider other chains first next time.
