I've been to brewpubs that let you pick samples. I've been to brewpubs that don't bother with samples. I've never been to a brewpub that didn't let you select your samples, then bring out a random assortment without some kind of guide to let you know what's what. Until today. I order a set of samples and our waitress said "okay" and walked off. I assumed that she went to go get a card to let me pick the ones I wanted; instead she came back with six samples. I asked her, "I don't get to choose?" and she said no, you just get a, b, c, etc. and rattled off a list of beers, obviously not in the order she set them down. What was really annoying was that I had no interest in five of the six.

My pork sandwich was okay, the fries looked like Ore-Ida, and when the waitress came back to clear the table and couldn't have missed the fact that I only drank one of the beers, she didn't even ask if anything was wrong.

The disappointment with the samples kind of ruined the rest of the meal and I didn't have a good time. I won't be back.
