I bought two Ameda Mya pumps.

I bought two Ameda Mya pumps.
Because the pumps are a superior product.

Buuuut,
Why did I buy two?

Let me preface this by saying I am not a rookie or greeny, I am an experienced and seasoned exclusive pumping Individual.

After six weeks, the first one stopped being as efficient. So I replaced all the parts multiple times. Still not good suction, Thinking it was a fluke I bought a second one for replacement of the first.

Then after six weeks again the second one stopped being efficient. Again replaced all the parts. Still poor suction.

Currently the only way that they are able to do their regular job is to hook one machine up independently to each breast.

The reason for one star is because I called customer service to explain that there must be something wrong with the internal parts of the pumps if both of them gave out around six weeks and that I had already been proactive and bought replacement parts AND a replacement machine.

Instead of being open to talking about possible defects, Nancy The customer service representative was very Condescending, belittling and insistent that it was user error or duck valve failure.

She wasn t even willing to entertain the idea that the internal machinery could ware out. In fact she actively insisted that the parts never ware out. When you can clearly hear that they have.

What s even more insulting instead of sending two replacements for my two purchase she only sent ONE replacement! I purchased two broken machines, I have warranty on two machines why is she only willing to honor one?

Nancy also fabricated in her notes stating that I had said things that I didn t, and that I agreed to things that I didn t.

Nancy is single-handedly standing in the way of me successfully feeding my four month old baby. For why?????

Because of this completely bizarre treatment, and not having the broken machine replaced, I have no choice but to trade to a different company in order to continue my exclusive pumping journey. How SAD.

I will NEVER recommend Ameda to anyone!! What a completely inappropriate way to treat a customer especially under the circumstances and the democratic that their product serves.

Furthermore she told me to use a flange size that isn t my size!! How do they have qualifications to give out incorrect and damaging lactation information???

I have only ever experienced this type of treatment from a company from greasy men at car dealerships!!

I love the product but I can t stand behind how extremely horribly they treat young impressionable mothers! Who might not know any better!! Or a company who isn t interested in looking into possible defaults.

This situation is absolutely unacceptable and completely absurd!!
