My daughter was here recently after a car accident with a head injury and glass shard wounds all over her face plus a gash on her knee that was bleeding onto the bed. She was flighted in by helicopter, but it took hours for her to get put in a room in the ICU. They never in the two days in the ICU cleaned the wounds that covered the whole side of her face or the gash in the knee, and she had to beg for a bandage for the knee. She ended up with copious dried blood on her face. I am surprised the wounds did not get infected. She called a nurse, and it took an hour for her to get there.
