I completed the 40-hour course and passed both written and oral tests and got permission to work as a medical interpreter in the USA. Alta provided a wonderful training experience for me. They have excellent e-learning materials you can complete at your own pace with abundant
supporting resources including the textbook, roleplay training material, glossaries for different languages, etc. You can also meet other students who may share your language combination and with whom you can practice medical interpreting in your spare time. What is
special about ALTA is that they have three online courses every week where you can meet three tutors and ask them any questions related to medical interpreting. Besides, ALTA has provided online classes for more languages including Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. I love ALTA and the team. They are supportive, respond to queries quickly, and professional. After comparing ALTA with other medical interpreting training institutions, I chose ALTA. I believe this is where you should choose if you want the first step into the medical interpreting field as I do. You won't regret!
