I took my 6 and 8 yo kids with me to try out some bikes. We are not at all experienced, or serious bicyclists although this store clearly caters to that audience as well as regular every day people who want a bike.

The staff were so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable, helping with frame sizes for all 3 of us, allowed my kids to try out a bike outside before purchasing, and patient with all of our questions.

Walked out with 3 bikes - one for me, and 2 for my kids!

Contrast this with trying to get any kind of help at the big box sporting goods store, there is no comparison.

Buy local and get treated wonderfully no matter your level of commitment to the sport. Highly recommend City Bikes to all, regardless of skill level! This place is LEGIT.
