I've seen some great national acts play at Rams Head. They have a decent setup too, with a loft and 5 or 6 bars so you can usually get a drink pretty quick. Sometimes it gets pretty crowded and it's standing room only unless you get VIP. But it has some benches above the loft if you need to take a break. It's loud, but exactly what you'd expect from a venue like this.
