Recently I have ordered a furniture to be delivered to my home and they used TNT Express service. Got an email which says it will be delivered last Friday (25 Oct), because me and my wife are both working, one of us have to take leave and stay home and can't even take time off as the delivery window is 9am - 5pm which means nothing.

On that morning received an sms that shipment is with a driver at 9:30am so I thought all good I will get my shipment today. Waited whole day for the shipment but the driver didn't turn up and I receive no notifications whatsoever until I call customer service at 5:45pm which I was told that the driver could not make it today (would be great if I get a call or sms notification!) and said that they have to redeliver on Monday as they don't deliver on weekends. Because we have doctor appointment on Monday I told the customer service to redeliver on Tuesday instead and I took another day off to stay at home waiting for the delivery from 9am - 5pm again.

On Tuesday, I waited the whole time until 3pm I got worried and called customer service - to be told that my shipment is definitely going to be delivered by today 5pm. I was relieved after getting such assurance so I continue waiting. By 5:10pm I called customer service again and they reassure me again that it will be delivered by 5pm... which is funny because that was 10 mins ago, anyway they reassured me again that the driver is in a nearby area and the delivery will definitely come today. I told them doesn't matter how late, just come anytime as I will want to settle this today I don't want to take another day off. By 6:20pm the worst thing happened - I received an SMS that says TNT attempted delivery but there is no one available, which is a joke because I was at home the whole day! The driver didn't leave any card behind so they probably didn't even bother coming to my place because they ran out of time.

Me and my wife gave up waiting for the delivery to come to our place so we just rescheduled it to be delivered to my wife's office as it is near to our place. Fortunately the reschedule to different address worked and it finally got delivered today to the office, though I have to borrow a trolley and carried the shipment back to our place myself :(

Next time when buying something, ask which courier company they use and if it is TNT, tell them they just lost a business because they go with such an awful courier company, and sooner or later they will wake up and stop using TNT because they are losing customers.
