This restaurant is entirely underserving of it's current 4.4 star rating on Google. It would be appropriate if there was a minus sign in front of that score. There is nothing traditionally Italian about this joint -- unless you consider American pizzeria food the pinnacle of Italian cuisine. What you should expect at this restaurant, as opposed to the overly glorifying reviews (which I'm stupefied to find on here), is nothing but sad, mediocre pizzeria-quality food served at exorbitant prices. In retrospect, the highlight of the meal, which is the free garlic knots brought to the table, now serves as an accent and clear indicator of the pizzeria experience.

To readers familiar with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the decor will immediately recall The Bistromatic spaceship piloted by Slartibartfast. This quaint idiosyncrasy is not enough to redeem this place from it's otherwise drab and funereal ambience. Unless you're one foot in the grave already, this place does not want you. The service is as stagnant and slow as the average crowd member.

I've given this restaurant several chances to redeem itself, and though my expectations are low each time, I am now sincerely baffled by the lack of passion in Il Cappuccino's food.
