Looking at the positive reviews of Olympus Australia, I had to double and triple check that they were about the same organisation I had the misfortune of dealing with last week. Per Olympus recommendation I sent my TG-4 compact underwater camera to them to have its seals replaced after a year (I take it into the water a lot). It came back to me with the mode dial not working properly and water coming in. Everything was working until those people got their hands on it. Understandably not prepared to let them have another go at my camera and asked for a replacement. The customer service operator, Kelly put up ridiculous obstacles and either lied or didn't know her job, suggesting the warranty was void as it had been in for repairs (which it had not). I had to ask more than once for an escalation. Fair enough that they had no stock in the warehouse and agreed to replace it in around a month and lend me a refurbished camera but they also swore blind (I was dealing with her manager by this time) that there was no stock in the country and if I could find any they would buy it back from the dealership and I could have it. I had to do their job for them! It took me ONLY 3 phone calls to find one in a store in my home city and even then they tried to fob me off. Terrible customer service experience! I was not asking for anything I wasn't entitled to, but I really think they were hoping I'd just go away.
