I had a disability a few years ago, I was in the ORL department where I met two doctors, finally they passed degrees. I was very badly received, I was not listened to, they left me in the panade and above all they really took me for an idiot and a less than nothing, they were haughty and really incompetent . I think that when you do not know about an illness, it's a good idea to tell patients rather than talk about a psychogenic illness, it will save patients time (2 hours late for 10 minutes of consultation and to have moral lessons). When you are a teacher, you do not forget to question yourself and you do not denigrate others. I lost many years of my life because of incompetent people with an excessive ego like this professor Chevalier and his colleague. Fortunately for me, I was able to finally meet a COMPETENT speech therapist after 10 years of guilt, it changed me to meet a listener who takes to heart his work and his patients. My voice problem is solved even if it can start again. Thanks to her.
