One of the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered. I was interested in joining Feather Sound back in January 2021, but heard that they were going to close the course for ~ 7 months to renovate the course. Didn't understand why I should pay the $4k initiation fee to be relegated to other courses for 7 months. Also, I know the course will not be in great condition when it does reopen; new greens are hard as rock, etc. So, I looked at other clubs in the area and after 2 months I'm ready to make my decision on which club to join. When I circled back with Feather Sound I was told that their initiation fee had now increased to $10k?!?!? AND they would not honor the initiation fee offered just 2 months earlier. They claim there is high demand to join and even a waiting list now?! Wasn't one 2 months ago! The Membership Manager said that no one could make any adjustments to their initiation fees, won't even discuss the reasons for it?! Very short sighted, lacking customer service or simple business etiquette. BY THE WAY I LIVE ON THE GOLF COURSE?! How many potential members could I bring with me or................ turn away?! I think I know the answer!!
