Like the quest for the Holy Grail, I was trying to...

Like the quest for the Holy Grail, I was trying to find something that was told in old tomes to have existed but remained a myth. People agreed that it surely must exist even though they have never seen one. It was a battery for a Ford Fusion Energi. How hard could that be?

Hard.

Of course Ford could get it for me. It's so rare though it would take 3-4 weeks to have it shipped up from some dark corner of a battery factory in the States. Lordco insisted they have it. It was in their system and had it for me the next day. Wrong battery. Canadian Tire, nope, doesn't exist. Generic battery shop that only deals with batteries, they send me on my way.

Then, a miracle. I stepped into NAPA with despair: was I chasing after something that was never made 3rd party? Do I actually need to go to my dealer? I begrudgingly recounted my story to the NAPA salesman and he tip taps away on his keyboard. He tilts his monitor to me and asks, "This the one?" I had said no so often I almost forgot how to say yes. It took them 20 seconds to solve the mystery of the one of a kind battery and had it to me the next day.

And they have a military discount.
