A very busy, but fairly efficient consulate. There are two lines, one for U.S. Citizens, and one for everyone else. The U.S. Citizen line is very short and fast. The other line .. not so much.

It may have just been the people in line at the time I was there, but the American side of the line, while short, was filled with rude and impatient Americans. The other line, was much longer, but polite, patient, and calm.

As an American, I was slightly appalled, yet proud and thankful to be a citizen of a country where we are free enough to be jerks without fear of prison.

Overall, my visit was slow-ish, but that is to be expected from any visit to a government office with long lines. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Another comment mentioned that everyone there was Chinese. That's totally inaccurate. There were several Chinese-Americans working there, but they all spoke perfect English.
